About the Brand
The land was owned by the Zambra family and the tower was called after them, going by the name of ‘Torre Zambra’, founded by grandpa Vincenzo. Later, Vincenzo’s son-in-law, Laurentino De Cerchio, planted his first Montepulciano and Trebbiano wines on that land by the tower. Torre Zambra’s purpose is to express at its best the untold potential of Villamagna territory. Hence, for some of its wines Torre Zambra has decided to carry on the ageing, started in cement containers, into tonneaux, allowing softer ageing and naturally improve the organoleptic characteristics of wines, without the aggressive flavor typical of Barrique. That is how smooth wines, especially reds, can free their scents of Cocoa, Tobacco and Coffee, which are the organoleptic notes of Villamagna territory.
